The MCE Conference this year is hosted by the beautiful Slovenian city of Ljubljana! The conference is from the 3rd to the 5th of June. FUPOL is again a sponsor of the conference and will be represented with its own booth. Use the opportunity to meet some of our experts in person and ask all the questions you like! The registration for the conference is still open! The program covers a wide variety of topics that are at the base of the prosperity of Cities among which engaging citizens in policy making.

UN-Habitat and Cellent AG, the Austrian coordinator of the European Union's Future Policy Modeling (FUPOL) consortium, teamed up with the Kenyan authorites at a two-day seminar this month to take advantage of the country's technology boom so that people in every walks of life can use their mobile telephones and other devices to join in programmes aimed at helping combat poverty, especially in urban slums.

From October 17 to 19 in Lisbon the eChallenges 2012 Conference took place, which provides an international forum to share success stories and lessons learnt from applied Information and Communications Technology (ICT) related research at European level (FP7) as well as regional, national and commercial initiatives. Some other interesting projects have been presented that show complementarities with FUPOL.

The UN Habitat agency organized the World Urban Forum in September. The main focus was Urban Future and Prosperity. The FUPOL project has been presented at the Forum.
