• In the framework of the FUPOL research program, UN-Habitat coordinates the publication of a book on “E-GOVERNANCE AND URBAN POLICY DESIGN IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES”.

  • The results of the FUPOL project will be presented in two major networking events of the World Urban Forum, which will take place 5.April – 11. April in Medellin (Colombia).

  • The Future Policy Modelling (FUPOL) software is available in the Slovak republic now. cellent AG (Austria) and Exdwarf sro (Bratislava) have signed a memorandum of understanding, which ensures the future support of the innovative solutions developed by the FP7 research project Future Policy Modelling (FUPOL) in Slovakia.

  • Youth Leaders from the Mtwapa informal settlement met on 20th November to be trained on moderation of the FUPOL e-participation tool for participatory slum upgrading. The training was led by Dragos Paul, who is an ICT teacher at the University of Bucharest in Romania, the University is a partner of FUPOL.

  • The meeting between WP2 and Yantai FUPOL responsibles (October 29th-31st) dealt with the definition of the modelling objectives to address with a sustainable configuration of the different industries in Yantai area.

  • A further part of the FUPOL application is ready for testing: The Simulation Software is able to show, what it is capable of in an example from Zagreb.
